Center for Academic Success, Involvement in the Early Alert Process.

Once the Early Alert is initiated by an instructor, the Center for Academic Success (CAS) will follow up with that student by sending a series of three emails.

Additionally, the CAS will assign a missionary couple to that student. The missionaries will also attempt to contact the student using information provided by the university's Student Information System, which also includes phone numbers and alternate email addresses. When the missionaries make contact with the student, they provide personalized counseling and mentoring, resulting in the student's commitment to address the issues raised in the early alert. Based on that student commitment, missionaries monitor and adjust as circumstances dictate.
