About Early Alert for Students

Students who are struggling in a particular class may receive an "Early Alert" from their instructor in that class. Instructors start the early alert process when they feel that other efforts to help the student have not been successful.

Once the instructor has started the early alert, the student will receive an email with one or more of several options selected by the instructor, such as: "Missed Work or Frequently Absent (Frequently misses assignments or exams)"

Additionally, the early alert email will be copied to the Center for Academic Success, where a missionary couple will be assigned to follow up with the student. If the student does not respond to the first email, the Center for Academic Success will send a second and a third email, and the missionaries will also attempt to contact the student.
