BYU–Hawaii Distance Learning to be replaced by BYU-Pathway Worldwide

Due to changes in the Church Educational System, BYU–Hawaii's Distance Learning Program will be replaced by BYU-Pathway Worldwide programs. BYU-Pathway Worldwide is now available in many parts of the Pacific and Asia. However, we know that it is still not available in all countries. BYU–Hawaii Distance Learning will continue to accept applicants in countries where BYU-Pathway Worldwide is not available, as follows:

Students who completed classes in prior semesters may continue to register for classes. Only students from the following countries may apply:

What is Required

To apply to the BYU–Hawaii Distance Learning program, you must:

  • Have access to a computer with high-speed internet.
  • Be willing to live the BYU–Hawaii Honor Code
  • Obtain financial resources to fund tuition costs
  • Commit to spending the needed time to succeed

How to Apply

STEP 1: Review the application tutorial

Our application tutorial will give you specific directions about the application process and will show you where to go to fill out your application.

STEP 2: Fill out the online application

In the online application, along with your name, address, etc., you will be required to agree to the BYU–Hawaii Honor Code. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the honor code. If English is not your first language you will be required to take a short English evaluation at the end of the application. To complete this application you will submit a video recording of yourself and will need to have access to a webcam or digital camera. For those where English is not your first language, this video will be part of the English evaluation.

STEP 3: Acceptance Email

Once your application is processed, you will receive an email with your BYU–Hawaii identification number and instructions on how to enroll for courses. This email will be delivered to the address you provide in your application. Make sure this email address is correct and make sure you check your junk mail.
