COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Instructional Design and Development (IDD) provides students with technical skills in designing and developing technology-based instructions. In this Information Age, these skills are increasingly sought after in various disciplines including Communications, Education, Information Technology and others that involve using technology to enhance human performance. IDD at BYU Hawaii emphasizes the development of hands-on projects for clients with specific training needs.
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS:
Currently, BYU-Hawaii students can pursue an interdisciplinary study degree in IDD, which requires them to combine IDD (at least 27 credits) with a secondary emphasis (15 credits). MINOR REQUIREMENTS:
Students of all majors are welcomed to take the IDD minor.
Credits: Need a total of 18 credits for this minor.
Grades: No "D" grades will be counted toward minor.
Prior to taking courses:
You need to have basic computer skills to begin this program. IS
100 is recommended for students with little or no previous computer knowledge.
